Did the promised lower bill actually arrive?
Record what was agreed, compare the next recurring charge and prepare a precise provider follow-up. Save the worksheet privately and return when the next statement arrives.
Worksheet details
Do not enter account numbers, passwords, addresses or card details. This worksheet accepts manually entered values, not document uploads.
1. Compare like-for-like recurring amounts
Use the same full billing period, service and currency. Include or exclude taxes and equipment consistently. Do not mix one-time credits or past balances into recurring amounts.
Confirm the new rate should already apply to this statement. A difference is a question to resolve, not proof of an overcharge. Leave the actual amount blank until you receive and check the bill.
2. Keep one-time items separate
Enter 0 only if none applies. These are amounts from your records, not a price charged by BillSavings. A one-time refund is never reported as recurring annual savings.
3. Set review dates (optional)
Calendar export creates an all-day bill review on your chosen date and, when supplied, a promotion review seven days before the end date. Alerts depend on your calendar app.
Save, resume and calendar review dates
The workspace is not saved automatically. Save a private JSON file and open it here later to continue. It is not encrypted; keep the file private. Importing resets your verification checkbox.
Calendar download does not create reminders on its own. Import the .ics file into your calendar and check its notification settings. It contains generic review titles and a tool link, not your name or financial amounts. No email or automatic monitoring service is enabled. Past dates are not moved into the future.
Recurring result, one-time effect and follow-up
Check the outcome, not just the promise
A fictional example: a bill was $95, the agreed recurring price is $70, but the next recurring charge is $82. That is a $13 recurring reduction and a $12 difference from the agreement. A one-time $15 credit does not turn the recurring price into $67.
Need to locate the changed lines first? Use the line-by-line bill comparison. For a provider conversation, use the negotiation script tool.
Providers may apply savings in a later billing cycle. Rocket Money's help page describes this timing for its own negotiations; use your actual agreement for your account. Source: Rocket Money help.
Privacy and limitations
The new worksheet code runs locally and does not send your entries to a server or store them automatically. A page visit may be counted by the existing site tracker, which receives no worksheet values. Your browser can retain form data outside this tool's control. Data you explicitly export or place in your own calendar is handled by your device and calendar provider.
Only user-entered information is used. The result does not verify a provider, contract, price or document. No bank connection, paid account or external AI API is required. Clearing the workspace does not delete files or calendar events you already saved.
